ALL EDGE OFFROAD EVENTS ARE RUN UNDER THE IOPD – THEY ARE FULLY PERMITTED, INSURED & ALL RIDERS WILL NEED AN IOPD LICENCE. THESE CAN BE BOUGHT ON THE DAY.

EARLY BIRD RATE EXPIRES ON THURSDAY 12TH FEBRUARY, THEN PRICES INCREASE BY £10. ONLINE ENTRIES CLOSE ON THURSDAY 19th FEBRUARY AT 8am. After this day entries only which carry a £10 surcharge. These changes have taken place to encourage people to book in early – this makes it easier for event organisation. Get booked in early to avoid being charged more, £30 deposit will secure your place on the start line!

Please remember to bring cash – there is very little to no phone signal at the quarry.
The lap will cross some footpaths – ALL WALKERS & HORSES HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY. Please do not exceed 10mph when crossing the footpaths which are clearly marked with BLUE TAPE and signs to warn you. DO NOT IGNORE THEM. If you come across a horse rider or walkers, please stop and let them past safely. THEY HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY.

The 2nd round of the 2026 British Cross Country Championship will take place at the versatile Spaunton Quarry venue on Sunday 22nd February. As always we will put the maximum amount of effort in to make sure all our riders are happy and able to complete this mulit-lap event. There will be a shorter lap for the youth riders, and then a longer lap for the adult event. With open going, hills, woodlands, stream beds, flowing tracks and trails there really is something here for everyone. 2026 MEMBERSHIP CAN BE PURCHASED ON THE DAY. 2026 IOPD LICENCES CAN ALSO BE PURCHASED ON ANY EVENT DAY.

The Adult event will be for a 2.5 hour duration. The Youth event will be for a 1.5 hour duration.

FINAL INSTRUCTIONS – PLEASE READ!!!!!

  • FOR ANY RIDERS THAT PAY & DON’T TURN UP THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ISSUED.
  • No refunds will be issued to anyone within 72 hours of the event as per standard Rules & Regulations.
  • For anyone that cancels before the 72 hour period, you will be deducted a 10% admin fee – or you can carry the entry over to another event.
  • If the event was to be cancelled, and you don’t want to carry your entry over to another event & wish for a refund, this will be less a 10% admin fee.
  • Please form an orderly queue at Signing On at all times. Please respect other peoples privacy.
  • You have to produce your IOPD Licence at EVERY event. This can be used at all Play Days & all Competition Days. On the entry form online, in the licence box please put IOPD if you don’t have a licence.
  • There will be a small spares shop onsite both days, where Edge Merchandise will be available to buy at very reasonable prices.
  • All Marshals and Photographers MUST sign on at the “Event Signing On” marquee before they go out onto the course. NB MEDIA – please make sure we have an up to date copy of your Public Liability Insurance before you attend any event.
  • All dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times, and PLEASE pick up your own dogs mess!
  • All children must remain with an adult at all times.
  • All litter to be taken home with you!
  • WE WILL NOT TOLERATE ABUSE TOWARDS ANY SIGNING ON STAFF, COURSE MARSHALS OR OFFICIALS. If you can not be respectful or pleasant do not come. Rider to rider abuse is also not tolerated. You will be asked to leave if this happens.
  • Catering onsite all weekend.
  • Camping is available from Friday night free.
  • No loud music after 8pm.
  • NO GENERATORS AFTER 10pm
  • Medics & toilets will be onsite for both days.
  • New and old riders always more than welcome!

Signing On starts at 8am for the Youth Event. Event Briefing on the line at 8.45am. Start at 9am for 1.5 hours.
