ALL EDGE OFFROAD EVENTS ARE RUN UNDER THE IOPD – THEY ARE FULLY PERMITTED, INSURED & ALL RIDERS WILL NEED AN IOPD LICENCE. THESE CAN BE BOUGHT ON THE DAY.
EARLY BIRD RATE EXPIRES ON WEDNESDAY 25th MARCH AT 8AM.
ONLINE ENTRIES CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY 1ST APRIL AT 8am. After this day entries only which carry a £10 surcharge. Please do not message or call for an entry once online entries have closed. You will have to be a day entry. These changes have taken place to encourage people to book in early – this makes it easier for event organisation. Get booked in early to avoid being charged more, £30 deposit will secure your place on the start line!
The 1st round of the 2026 Monsters of Dirt National Sprint Series will take place at the versatile Spaunton Quarry venue on Saturday 4th April. This will be a Sprint track of around 6-7 minutes for the top riders. As always we will put the maximum amount of effort in to make sure all our riders are able to complete the lap. It will consist of open sections and woodlands, with the odd bit of stream beds thrown in to keep you on your toes! The idea of a Sprint is to have quite a fast pace of laps throughout the day. If you are not a relatively quick rider, Sprints aren’t for you just yet. There will be potentially 8 laps throughout the day, and you drop your worst lap (which the timing system will work out for you).
ALL RIDERS MUST ATTEND THE EVENT BRIEFING AT 8.30am ON SATURDAY AT THE TRACK ENTRANCE.
ALL RIDERS MUST COMPLETE THE SIGHTING LAP WHICH STARTS AT 8.45am.
A PLANNED FREE PRACTISE WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 9am UNTIL 9.45am. Things may change on the day due to circumstances out of our control.
Sprints are for Premier, Expert, Over 40, Over 50, Clubman, Ladies, Sportsman, Novice and Youth (Youth B upwards/10 years plus) riders, that are competent.
Please park as the Edge Offroad staff ask! NO EXCEPTIONS.
Riders set off at 15 second intervals. On your first lap you set off in class order, numerically. From your second lap onwards everyone is seeded in the speed they did their lap previous. With the fastest man each lap starting first every time. All laps get added together over the day, after each lap. Results are put out after each lap so you know what order you’re starting in next, and that gives you your start time too. We do have someone calling numbers out to make sure you start in the right order – but this is also down to you to pay attention. But after your first lap you are literally riding with and around riders of your own pace and ability. Basically just trying to improve your own speed throughout the day. It Is down to you to make sure you’re not late for your start. But your number will be called out every lap from the holding area. If you are late then you have to start at the back, otherwise you make everyone else late. Overall Results at the end of each day, for every class, with a trophy presentation. It’s a 5 round championship, set over 4 weekends, no rounds to drop.

- FOR ANY RIDERS THAT PAY & DON’T TURN UP THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ISSUED.
- No refunds will be issued to anyone within 72 hours of the event as per standard Rules & Regulations.
- Anyone requiring a refund before the 72 hour period will be deducted a 10% admin fee.
- Please form an orderly queue at Signing On at all times. Please respect other peoples privacy.
- You have to produce your IOPD Licence at EVERY event. This can be used at all Play Days & all Competition Days.
- There will be a small spares shop onsite both days, plus Edge Merchandise is always available to purchase.
- All Marshals and Photographers MUST sign on at the “Event Signing On” marquee before they go out onto the course. NB MEDIA – please make sure we have an up to date copy of your Public Liability Insurance before you attend any event.

- All dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times, and PLEASE pick up your own dogs mess!
- All children must remain with an adult at all times.
- All litter to be taken home with you!
- WE WILL NOT TOLERATE ABUSE TOWARDS ANY SIGNING ON STAFF, COURSE MARSHALS OR OFFICIALS. If you can not be respectful or pleasant do not come. You will be asked to leave if this happens. NO REFUNDS.
- Rider to rider abuse is also not tolerated. You will be asked to leave if this happens. NO REFUNDS.
- Catering onsite all weekend.
- Camping is available from Friday night – free.
- No music after 8pm.
- NO GENERATORS AFTER 10pm, and not on before 7am.
- Medics & toilets will be onsite for both days.
- New and old riders always more than welcome!
Signing On starts at 7.15am for everyone.
Rider briefing at 8.30am for EVERYONE!
Sighting lap at 8.45am FOR EVERYONE.
FREE PRACTISE FROM 9.00am – 9.45am. (This is free, and not included in the entry fee).
Event Starts at 10.00am.

Please comply with all instructions from the Marshals and pay attention to the SIGNS/NOTICES, and remain in the Permitted Areas Only!!!!
